Geography and Climate

Dumra Gram Panchayat is situated in Haspura Block of Aurangabad District, Bihar. The Panchayat is surrounded primarily by fertile agricultural land, reflecting the agrarian character of the region. The landscape is generally flat to gently undulating, typical of the southern Bihar plains, and is well suited for farming and rural settlement.

The Panchayat lies approximately 5–10 kilometers from the Haspura Block headquarters and is connected to nearby villages and towns through rural road networks. Unlike mining regions, Dumra Panchayat is not a mineral-bearing area and has no coal or industrial mining activities. Agriculture remains the dominant land use.

The region supports common rural vegetation found in the Magadh belt, including: Peepal, Banyan,Neem, Mahua,Palas,Bamboo,Mango,Jamun. Seasonal streams, ponds, and water bodies are present in and around the Panchayat, contributing to irrigation and local biodiversity. These natural resources support agriculture, livestock, and rural livelihoods.

The climatic condition of Dumra Panchayat is sub-tropical and follows the typical pattern of southern Bihar:

  • Summer: Hot and dry, especially during April to June, with temperatures sometimes rising above 40°C in peak summer.

  • Monsoon: The region receives rainfall mainly from July to September, which is crucial for agriculture.

  • Winter: October to February is the most pleasant period, with mild temperatures and comfortable weather.
