Most of the freedom fighters sacrificed their lives in the war for independence. Most importantly, freedom fighters inspired and motivated others to fight injustice. They are the pillars behind the freedom movement. They made people aware of their rights and their power,some of them indian freedom fighter in our Panchayat .

Dulal Mahto was a Iron Man of Pandarkanali village , threw himself into the struggle for freedom with feverish energy. He led many defiant campaigns and spent a total of three years in British jails. It was in the fire of this struggle that his steel was tempered and he grew into maturity. and he is Ideal Person of our panchayat,after getting freedom he got thankful letter  (tamr patr )from that time Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru for his contribution in Indian freedom.  and also Etwari Mahto , Moti Mahto,Kaanadan Mahto,Basu Mahto,Gurucharan Mahto,Foud Mahto, Thakur Mahto,Jagarnath Mahto and Shobha Mahto active freedom fighter in putki, Dhanbad area in that time. they were participate in many activity for freedom and all time ready for  assist to Dulal Mahto. Mahatma Gandhi was  also  visited in Dhanbad for  funding &  contribution in India’s Freedom, that time met them with his team.

For his contribution in Indian Freedom that time Bihar government  Rewarded for PDS Dealership in  Parsia.
