ABOUT PANCHAYAT
The Grampanchayat Pandarkanali south is an administrative Panchayat of Dhanbad Block situated in Dhanbad District under Jharkhand state. Under of pandarkanlali panchayat has five villages Chirudih, Garbhudih, Pandarkanlali, Parsia and Saraidaha and also divided in 10 ward.The size of the area is about 10.43 square kilometer. Pandarkanali south Panchayat, an administrative Panchayat of Dhanbad Block has its headquarters at Dhanbad. It was carved out from Parsia Panchayat on 10th May 2001.
The Panchayat lies between 23 degree 46 minutes north latitude and 86 degree 20 minutes east longitude. This Panchayat is bounded by Panderkanali Panchayat in the north, by the panchayat of siyalgudari on the east, by dubrajdih panchayat on the south west by basudev river.
Panderkanali South Gram Panchayat is a Rural Local Body in Dhanbad Panchayat Samiti part of Dhanbad Zila Parishad. There are total 5 Villages under Panderkanali South Gram Panchayat jurisdiction. Gram Panchayat Dhanbad is further divided into 10 Wards. Gram Panchayat Dhanbad has total 6 schools.
Dhanbad district was constituted in 1956 by carving out the old Dhanbad subdivision, Chas and Chandankiyari police stations of the Sadar subdivision of the erstwhile Manbhum district. Dhanbad is Police district since 1928. The re-organisation of the districts in the State of Bihar which took place after 1971 did not affect the district of Dhanbad. In 1991 a part of Dhanbad district was sliced away to form Bokaro district.
